A GE Hotpoint Electric Range - You Can't Go Astray Buying One Of These

The Hotpoint electric range is a vintage kitchen appliance. Why, my grandmother still has her 1960's stove in her small cottage by the lake and it's still working perfectly. But then, General Electric is known for producing some of the most dependable kitchen appliances in the marketplace, and their Hot Point series is no exception.

I've encountered quite a few bad brands when I was employed as a salesperson at a local appliance retailer, and I could always attest to the quality of GE appliances. There are some other good brands out there, but GE just makes some classic workhorses. We also had several of those fancy European (and particularly Italian) models in our store, and they certainly had definite aesthetic advantages - they're lovely little things, actually - but they would be returned time and time again with all sorts of problems.

This was really a headache because the parts were so much more costly. Although the initial commissions on products like that were higher, and they were good looking equipment at first sight, I soon learned that it wasn't worthwhile selling them. It not only cost the shop money (in which I became a partial investor after a few years) on account of the greater number of repairs we had to do on the machines, but it also harmed my sales in the end.

People get mad when you sell them stuff that breaks. Even if you did not know about the quality issues, and ready to fix the problem ASAP, it still was quite a bit of time wasted in someone's day. From all of my experience, I can tell you that GE produces some great appliances, and their electric ranges really stand out. Not only to do they keep up to pace with all of the new (and now evidently necessary features), but they are much less likely to break down.

Fewer and fewer companies produce quality goods, and the Hotpoint electric ranges are still the workhorses that they always were. Frankly, if you're really using your appliances, there is no reason to just go for anything that looks nice. Opt for something that combines style and function. And make sure it is a good appliance. From my experience, you can't go astray with a GE Hotpoint range.
