Taking Care Of Dry Skin Involves More Than Just The Average Skin Care Routines - You Need A Unique Plan
Folks are made differently. We come in diverse sizes, races and shapes. While one human being might have perfect skin, another could be stricken with extreme acne.
Much lies in the genetics of our parents. But, regardless of the skin-type you have, there are ways of dealing with it & keeping it looking fantastic. You simply have to understand your skin's needs & proceed regularly with the right skincare products. For instance, I have dry skin. This means I need to concentrate more on moisturizing than I do cleansing or how to get rid of acne. I require a dry skin-care regimen in an effort to keep my skin texture looking stellar, just as I would for getting rid of acne.
As a teenager, I watched my closest friend suffer with some of the most awful acne I'd ever seen, and all he could think about were ways to get rid of acne. This guy endured countless breakouts on his face, back & chest. All the while, I dealt more with flaky, dry skin. So while he had to have prescription acne treatment creams & gels, I required more gentle dry skin-care solutions. I got into the routine of cleansing my face only once each day, which was at night time. I used and still use a gentle facial cleanser known as Purpose, which works great for my dry cheeks & forehead. When I rise in the a.m., I simply wipe my mug clean with a damp washcloth. No cleanser is needed. In addition to cleansing properly, I apply a moisturizer from Jack Black's skin-care line. I do this in the morning & night to ensure optimal moisture. If I don't apply the moisturizer, my skin texture will feel tight & dry. If you also have dry skin, then you know what I'm speaking about.
Do not forget the basics! Dry skin care means using tepid water & patting your face dry. The mild water will not strip your face of its essential oils. Remember to apply your moisturizer of choice instantly after washing your face. It will absorb better & do its job, locking moisture in the epidermis. Naturally your diet also plays a part in caring for your skin. Healthy fruits & vegetables will benefit any skin type. Ultimately, you will want to make certain you drink a good deal of water on a consistent basis in an effort to stay hydrated.
